Memories of a Great Civilization:
    An Aramaean statue from the 9th century before Christ. This statue is entirely covered with inscriptions in Aramaean. It was discovered recently in 1979, and can be found in the National Museum of Damascus. A museum which you must visit.
    An exceptional place with exceptional hospitality. 
Summer l978:
    I have thought about returning many times.
Blue Maalula:
    Recently Fadi Kalach assured me that Maalula is a word of Aramaean origin which means "the entrance".
